In 2010, the voters chose Chris Gibson as their representative in Congress. Chris was sworn into the 112th Congress and brought his new direction and vision to Washington.
Chris Gibson kept his promise to always put Upstate New Yorkers first in Washington and, to keep this new direction, we must re-elect Chris in November.
Chris's priorities in Congress are growing the economy to create jobs, restoring fiscal responsibility and moving toward a balanced budget, and protecting freedoms. Already, progress has been made toward these goals, along with a commitment to addressing issues that are important here at home. From helping farmers and small business owners to saving the rural broadband loan program and fighting Lyme Disease, Chris has been making a difference. Since the devastating storms in August and September, Chris has been focused on helping our Upstate communities recover from the damage done by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
With Chris's support, the House repealed the President's healthcare law, increased domestic energy production, removed unnecessary and duplicative regulations on our small businesses and farmers, and began to return balance to our federal budget . Chris also voted for legislation that would reform our country's tax code by removing loopholes and lowering overall rates.
Certainly on all fronts there is much more work to be done, but Chris is the right choice for the 19th Congressional District. With your help, we can send Chris back to Congress so he can work to ensure our best days are still in front of us.
